Enthusiasm for antiquity and Greek mythology
Enthusiastic about art in all its facets, I have mostly successfully guided and inspired my pupils and also my daughter – while learning myself a lot, marvelling and developing new ideas.
I organised numerous art exhibitions and competitions with children, teenagers and young adults. Study trips of the artistic-aesthetic profile of my school in Eckernförde to Greece and Spain inspired my school-leavers and me on site.
As a single mother and senior teacher, I had little time for my own creative works - initially I concentrated on my artistic work on the interior of my own rooms and in doing so also found new possibilities of expression in painting when playing with colour and material.
In 2008, I exhibited with other artists at the Eckernförde municipal utilities.
I discovered my love of photography during a stay of several years in Greece and the associated travels to islands and neighbouring countries. After returning from teaching abroad, inspired by warm encounters, full of new impressions and ideas, I devoted myself to painting again.
I was also inspired by the artists Brigitte Koriath and Robert Süess.
I work with texture pastes, acrylic paints, papers, fabrics, wax crayons, sand, felt, wall paints, papier-mâché and much more.
Do you have any questions about my paintings? I look forward to hearing from you!
